birthday goodies part II -->happy birthday to me lol

WARNING:
I went a little crazy with my birthday shopping.
Get ready for a humongous haul lol
(and a LONG, full of pics post)

I've been doing grocery shopping at Tesco last week
and I came across this Eco Tools set of brushes.

I like the idea behind it.

In this set you can find:
-a Blush brush
-an Eye shading brush
-an Eyeliner brush
-a Concealer brush
- a Lash and brow comb

It was only £13.

There was a body butter sale
on The Body Shop web site.

I got the Japanese Cherry Blossom
and Buriti Baby body butters.
They were half price.
Plus this bag which is soo adorable!

And that's my biggest part.
MAC!!
Yay! I don't shop at MAC too often.
But come on! I have my 25th birthday once in a life time lol
That's a good excuse.

Paint pot in Bare Study
I've been using it everyday since I got it.
It gives this lovely shimmery base.
Perfect for neutral look.

Mineralise Skin Finish Natural in Light.

Prep+Prime Face Protect spf 50
I wanted to try this for ages.
I love the fact that it has such a high spf
cos I think protecting the skin from the sun
is the best anti ageing thing that
is going to benefit my skin in the future.

Prep+ Prime Transparent Powder

Powder Blush in Pinch o'Peach

Tinted Lip Conditioner spf 15
It smell like coconut + chocolate.
Yummy!

Eye shadow in Brulé
Great all over the lid just to even out the skin colour
or as a highlight.

Studio Finish spf 35 concealer
lol I am spf freak!

I also got the Fix+ that I am super excited about.

I took this picture using most of the Mac products
I got. Defo a natural look.

And last but not least, I went to Lush.

I picked up:
- The Ex Factor Ballistic
(I'm so gonna use it tomorrow lol)
-Magic Mushroom Bubble Bar
-Bubblegum Lip Scrub
(yay for the snow fairy smell!)
-Breath of Fresh Air toner
(my second bottle, love it!)
-Lemony Flutter cuticle butter

Ufff! That's all the stuff I got.
I am not going to shop for next two months!
At least! ;)

I hope that nobody thinks I'm bragging
about the stuff that I got.
I just want to share my excitement.

I'll do some reviews soon.
Let me know if there's something
you're particularly interested in.

Have a lovely weekend!

xoxo

back to business:>

I'm back ladies!!
I hope that everybody's well.
So happy to finally get some time for my blog.
I've missed you guys:)
It was such a busy period.
Initially I was ambitious and I thought I will write all
my essays and finish some projects for college BUT
..well.. I don't even know when these 2 weeks passed.
I didn't have time for internet, I was spending time with family and friends.
Had to catch up with the loved ones.

But I am officially back.
A little sick but who isn't with the crazy snow and temperature?!
So let's get back to business:)
I got some great goodies this year.

Estée Lauder Beautiful Skin Solution Prevention Set:
  • Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher
  • Advanced Night Repair Protective Eye Recovery Complex
  • DayWear Plus Multi Protection Anti-Oxidant Creme SPF 15

My Mum totally surprised me with this awesome pack!
I wanted especially this serum for ages and so far I really like it.
It makes your skin uber smooth and poreless without the skin feeling tight.

Next up I got Gucci Flora set: a perfume and a body lotion.

I totally suck when it comes to describing scents lol so I'll count on www.nstperfume.com :

Flora smells very of-the-moment: it’s light, clean, fresh and pretty, which I hope is what perfume consumers were after this spring because there’s plenty of it on the counters at the moment. The notes for Flora are listed as citrus, peony, rose, osmanthus, pink pepper, sandalwood and patchouli, but they don’t matter too much: this is a sheer, almost-sparkling floral, very pale and clean, in which nothing stands out other than the peony, and even that only for a short while. It smells like it’s been through a rigorous series of focus groups designed to ensure that it would not ruffle feathers on anybody anywhere: there’s nothing sharp in the citrus-y opening, it’s floral but not too floral, it’s vaguely peach-y but not too fruity, it’s sweet-ish but not too sweet.

I must say I really like this perfume.
It's sort of sweet but not heavy if you know what I mean.

I also wanted to get something for myself this Christmas
so when I got home I went to Sephora

I wanted this set forever lol

bareMinerals Get Started 8-piece collection (fairly light and light)

  • 2 SPF 15 Foundations
  • Mineral Veil
  • bareMinerals Warmth All-Over Face Color
  • Full Flawless Face Brush
  • Flawless Application Face Brush
  • Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush

  • Get Started DVD
  • Booklet
  • Primer sample

I'm really into mineral make up recently so
I cant wait to try out these products:)

Of course as sales started I couldn't hold myself and I did some shopping lol
One of my favourite items I got is this bright pinky bag!

I hope that you all had
a fab time this Christmas

and
I wanted to wish you all an awesome New Year!

(better late than never lol)

elf cosmetics: yay or nay?

It's a first time that I ordered stuff from ELF website and I've never tried their cosmetics before but heard so much about it that I placed my order last Thursday. And... the parcel came yesterday!!:) Super quick! So far, so good:)

I know it's a lot of stuff but
1.yeah, I got a bit carried away:>
2. if you order for over£25, you get a free mini collection
(like a small makeup palette) and as I have LOADS of makeup (DUH!)
I decided to give it to my sister-in-law:)
good girl:)

So that's what I picked up:
  • clarifying pressed powder
  • complexion perfection
  • warm bronzer
  • translucent matte powder
  • mineral booster
  • mineral blush in plum
  • tinted moisturiser (shielding hydro tint SPF 15)
  • lip defning brush
  • total face brush
  • blushing, bronzing and blending brush
  • dramitic false lashes
  • eye widener
  • eyelash curler (the body shop one hurts my eyes! seriously)
  • toe separators:>

The stuff that I'm super excited about are:

MINERAL BOOSTER

'That's what they say on the www.eyeslipsface.co.uk :

'Achieve the ultimate, translucent "photo finishing touch" to your makeup, our Mineral Booster melts into your skin, infusing it with key vitamins A, B and E to promote healthier skin that’s noticeably silkier and smoother. Completely sheer and ideal for all skin tones, Mineral Booster gently absorbs oil and minimizes the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and pores for a beautiful even finish. Wear alone or buff over our Mineral Concealer and Foundation to lend extra staying power and to achieve a professional and stunning porcelain matte look that will last all day.'

So I'm really curious! I'll probably review it for you guys later

And also COMPLEXION PERFECTION sounds really interesting:

'Create a balanced and radiant complexion that is beautiful and healthy. The lightweight formula evens out the skin tone and absorbs excess oil. The sheer formula brightens, mattes and neutralizes the skin.'

I used most of the stuff already:)
And I've got a very good first impression
BUT we shall see:)

Any experience with ELF?
Good?
Bad?

XoXo

autumn again! :D

Hey Guys

The time is passing by so quickly. The autumn is fully here and I still enjoy colder but sunny autumn days walking to college but there is so much I going on at the time that I just realised that it is the middle of November! How scary is that?!

In the meantime I had a small Sephora and Body Shop haul.
I really regret that we dont have Sephora in UK:/
But Im lucky that my bf's parents live in Paris so I ordered stuff from Sephora's French webside!
I got myself Nars' Orgasm (I heard so much about it I had to try it),
3 brushes (foundation, brow and smudging brushes)
and a makeup pallette (I AM seriously AddiCTED to pallettes at the moment and this one is awesome for travelling).

And last Thuesday I got my parcel from Body Shop! I spent only £13 on:
Cocoa Butter Creamy Body Wash ( which is grat for shaving and I got it for free!),
Special Edition Roseflower eyeshadow in gorgeous Sunshine Gold,
Passion fruit Dry oil mist,
All that Glitters box (eyelash curler, eye shimmer in silver, mini Super Volume mascara, eyeliner in silver--> loove it, so sparkly)

AAh! And Igot these lovely hat and gloves from my bf's parents.
Isn't it adorable?!

friday shOpping

Hello Lovlies!

So I had a loooong day today (and yesterday I was working from 1 till 8.30). I was pleased to receive B from my philosophy assessment, I got paid, my bf went to visit his parents in Paris (he's coming back tomorro! yay!) so I decided it's time for a treat:)

First off, I went to Schuh and finally got to use my staff card and got myself Red Or Dead grey boots. They are gorgeous! Exactly what I needed! Flat but unique boots for winter.

And than I went to Superdrug. They have 3 for 2 deal on Maybelline, Revlon and Gosh. And buy 1 get 2nd one half price on L'oreal. So I did some shopping:

  • L'oréal True Match powder in Rose Vanilla
  • Balancing cleansing wipes
  • Gosh Duo Fibre Brush
  • Gosh Velvet Touch Lipstick in Darling (had to try it as everybody's raving about it:))
  • Gosh nail polish in Deep Purple
I saved £7.95 on the makeup! Who doesn't like deals like that!?:)

I also got:
  • Make up Sponges (I watched Wayne on You Tube, he is such an inspirational make up artist and he recommended using wet sponges to apply foundation and I decided to give it a go ---> http://www.youtube.com/user/gossmakeupartist)
  • Bodyform liners with a free Jemma Kidd lipgloss
  • tropical Batiste dry shampoo

I know I'm always looking for deals and bargains but since I'm such a beauty junkie and a student (and that
really doesn't go togheter!) I'm finding my own way to shop.

okey dokey

have a great weekend!
xoxo

23 October 2009

wooohooo

Hello my lovelies!

Guess what?! My Coastal Scents package just arrived! I feel like a kid on a Xmass Day!:)
So let's get started. I ordered two 88 palettes: a shimmer and a matte one and also 3 eye brushes. And I have to say that the customer service was superb! I ordered
it oline on Monday and voila it arrived Friday morning. During the week I could track it so I knew if it's moving forward:) They also packed it really well, nothing got broken or anything.

The quality of the eye shadows is really great- they're so pigmanted. What I also like about is the fact that there's so many diffrent shades! It's amazing! It inspires me to create diffrent looks.
The other thing is that you probably won't see any diffrence between matte and shimmer but my camera is sort of crap and lighting isn't the greatest. Their texture is totally diffrent, that's why I ordered both of them:)
Aah! Just one little thing that bothers me: the size of eyeshadows. It's a bit smaller than I expected but than again there's so many of them that I probably won't be able to use them all anyways.

I also ordered 3 eye make up brushes.
I'm also happy about their quality.
I just can't afford Mac brushes
so I'm pleased to find some cheaper alternatives.

I also receive an eye shadow sample.
I thought it was very sweet!
But then again who doesn't like freebies??:)

And that's my yesterday's look.

I won't be able to blog too often because
I'm going back to collage next week.
I have loads of homework waiting..
Yuck! I have to balance work and college
and it's not as easy as it seems:)

I'm also super excited because
I bought my very first own car!!! And I'm collecting it today!
It's a used Suzuki Jimny and I love it.
It definately has the personality:)

Hope you're having a great week. Can't believe that it's already end of October!!

xoxo
