Sugar scrub too abrasive?

I tried Lush Sugar Scrub and I barely managed
to finish it as it was REALLY harsh to my skin.
After using it my skin was red and irritated.

I probably wouldn't repurchase it
but I got it in a gift box for my birthday lol

I got an idea how to make it work
for my skin. It would break my heart
to throw it away ^_^

I crumbled it into a bowl.

I prepared 2 empty pots,
baby oil and Snow Fairy shower gel.

I added a bit of oil and gel into the bowl
and mixed it well.
Just remember not to make it too watery.

Et voila!

A gentle, moisturising and lovely smelling scrub!

Hope you're all well!

wardrobe inspiration

I really like this style.
It's classy & chic but relaxed and a bit hippie,
all at the same time.
It's just missing a nautical accessorize
(like an anchor chain or something).

Plus, I wish I looked like that
when I'm 40 lol
Claudia Schiffer is gorgeous!

Currently listening to:

Sade's new album is absolutely magical.

ps. Is anybody watching 'The Vampire Diaries'?
I saw the first episode 3 days ago and
now I can't stop watching it lol

Hottie alert:)

*drool*

Self-help?? :>

I must admit that I'm a sucker
for self-help books. But not the ones
that tell you how to become happy in 2 days
or 7 habits of highly effective people etc. LOL

I believe that being happy in life
is a long term process.
It can't happen overnight.
But we can learn how to improve
our life by applying little changes.

I read 'Psychologies' magazine
from time to time.
And I found this little booklet
attached to February issue.

I was skeptical at first but as
I ran through the pages I found
lots of easy ways that inspire me
to change something in my life.

These are the chapters:

I wanted to share a couple of
things that I've done already
or I'm planning to do.

At the end of every chapter there's space to
jot down your own ideas.

I'm not really big on New Years resolutions
but turning 25 and recent events in my life
made me think that I'm the one in control of my life.
And it's up to me how satisfied I am.

Hope this post isn't useless.
I know it's random
but I felt I wanted to share it with you guys.

I love your comments!
It always make me feel so special
when somebody leaves me
a bunch of warm words:)

Anybody read anything interesting recently
and wants to recommend it?

OPI Shrek Forever After Collection

When I first heard about this collection,
I thought it was a joke=)

But it is going to be released this summer.

It is such a fun idea.
Alice in Wonderland was already impressive
but Shrek?!

Of course, the names are awesome:

Funky Donkey (dark purple)
What’s With the Cattitude? (light blue)
Rumple’s Wiggin’ (light purple)
Who the Shrek Are You? (dark yellow or lime green?)
Ogre-the-Top Blue (dark blue)
Fiercely Fiona (light yellow)

How adorable is that?

birthday goodies part II -->happy birthday to me lol

WARNING:
I went a little crazy with my birthday shopping.
Get ready for a humongous haul lol
(and a LONG, full of pics post)

I've been doing grocery shopping at Tesco last week
and I came across this Eco Tools set of brushes.

I like the idea behind it.

In this set you can find:
-a Blush brush
-an Eye shading brush
-an Eyeliner brush
-a Concealer brush
- a Lash and brow comb

It was only £13.

There was a body butter sale
on The Body Shop web site.

I got the Japanese Cherry Blossom
and Buriti Baby body butters.
They were half price.
Plus this bag which is soo adorable!

And that's my biggest part.
MAC!!
Yay! I don't shop at MAC too often.
But come on! I have my 25th birthday once in a life time lol
That's a good excuse.

Paint pot in Bare Study
I've been using it everyday since I got it.
It gives this lovely shimmery base.
Perfect for neutral look.

Mineralise Skin Finish Natural in Light.

Prep+Prime Face Protect spf 50
I wanted to try this for ages.
I love the fact that it has such a high spf
cos I think protecting the skin from the sun
is the best anti ageing thing that
is going to benefit my skin in the future.

Prep+ Prime Transparent Powder

Powder Blush in Pinch o'Peach

Tinted Lip Conditioner spf 15
It smell like coconut + chocolate.
Yummy!

Eye shadow in Brulé
Great all over the lid just to even out the skin colour
or as a highlight.

Studio Finish spf 35 concealer
lol I am spf freak!

I also got the Fix+ that I am super excited about.

I took this picture using most of the Mac products
I got. Defo a natural look.

And last but not least, I went to Lush.

I picked up:
- The Ex Factor Ballistic
(I'm so gonna use it tomorrow lol)
-Magic Mushroom Bubble Bar
-Bubblegum Lip Scrub
(yay for the snow fairy smell!)
-Breath of Fresh Air toner
(my second bottle, love it!)
-Lemony Flutter cuticle butter

Ufff! That's all the stuff I got.
I am not going to shop for next two months!
At least! ;)

I hope that nobody thinks I'm bragging
about the stuff that I got.
I just want to share my excitement.

I'll do some reviews soon.
Let me know if there's something
you're particularly interested in.

Have a lovely weekend!

birthday goodies part 1

It's official: I'm 25.
Yesterday was my Birthday and
I had a lovely day.
I spent it with some friends-
we had some wine and a fab dinner.

My Parents surprised me a lot.
I got roses, a box of chocolates and a bottle
of red wine. My Mum also got me Lancome
Nutrix Royal Body Lotion.
It feels really luxurious and smells delicious.
She also sent me a sample of Kanebo Sensai
Emulsion II which I'm excited to try.
Especially now, when the weather is seriously
drying out my skin.

Although my Parents still treat me like a little girl
THEY ARE REALLY AWESOME lol

I love getting cards.
I appreciate that people make effort
to make my day exceptional.

As all my friends know, I'm a sucker for Lush
so I got this little goodie box.

The sugar scrub is too harsh for my skin (it's too scratchy!)
so I'll crumble it and mix it with baby oil
or shower gel and put into one of the used pots.

I'm excited to use Vanilla Fountain for the first time.
I'm a fan of Vanillary Solid Perfume and it smells
exactly the same- toffee, vanilla and cupcakes:)

I'll have a relaxing Lush bath this weekend:)

I treated myself this year.
I thought I need some pampering :)

So I still have some Mac
and a little Body Shop haul coming up.

I wish you all a fabulous weekend!

xoxo

ps. yay for 101 followers:D
you guys rock lol
thank you all for taking time
to read my posts!
